He's hauling a bucket of gravel Up the hill side and then down. The picture of him on the ground is an obstacle they had to crawl under barbwire that was a 1/4 mile long.
This coarse really tested his limits. And it took many people 6-8 hours to complete.
We love this cutie pie. We are soaking up every minute with her. She's a great sleeper, and is genuinely a happy baby. Her hair is mostly dark but is coming in lighter.

She's starting to roll. (Makes us all nervous) She always has a smile for everyone. And just is the most cuddly baby. We LOVE her.

Before the ultrasound Jappy and I talked about names for what we thought our #5 and final addition. We were somewhere in Montana when the name Jacqueline Hope came together for us. We felt strongly that that was it. A couple weeks later we had an ultrasound revealing we in fact weren't having a girl but a boy. We were shocked and a little sad. Happy for a healthy baby but shocked. We all were. A little upset wondering why we felt so strongly about a girl, and yet That's not what we were going to have. Jappy ordered Chinese that night for dinner trying to lift our families spirits. We had dinner and were chatting in the kitchen when I opened my fortune cookie. The Fortune read... 'Hope is a Treasure worth waiting for.' Oh CRAP " as I handed it to Jappy to read. We decided to not worry about another baby until we get through this one. A month later we returned to the same chinese restaurant. Only to have another fortune that read 'He who has Hope has everything' Oh good grief. I didn't ever want a big family, that was never something that I saw for myself. Once again Jappy said "Lets get through this baby then we will reevaluate. Well, fast forward 2 years or so. I started feeling like we were missing someone. I started having dreams of a little girl. Jappy came home from church one day with a serious look on his face. I asked him what was wrong. He said.' I don't want to tell you...but on the stand today something happened, The distinct overwhelming feeling that we are to have a little girl." I may have rolled my eyes. I wasn't ready.
A couple weeks later Jappy was driving in the car, and the feeling and thought came to him again. A LITTLE GIRL. A week later we found out we were having a baby.
We had a blood test in the first trimester that revealed we were in fact having a little Girl.
We held off telling the family until I was almost half way through the pregnancy. The pros of living away from family. The pregnancy went really well. We had a few little bumps with my health but overall it went great. My due date was 12-13-14. As the time got closer we really wanted to shoot for that date. The week before my due date Jappy was out of town. I was already dilated to a 2. We both were worried that I could go into labor while he was gone. We did however have a back up plan. (Book club in Labor and delivery Par-Tay) However Jappy was calmer than I. He felt like things would be fine while he was away and that the baby would come December 7.( I thought he was crazy) But I took it VERY EASY, and Slow while he was gone and when he pulled into the driveway from his trip on Friday we all had a sigh of relief.
the next Day Saturday (Dec 6) Jappy went to the gym around 6am. And at 6:30am I was having contractions. Nothing consistent but they lasted all morning until 8. I didn't feel like I was in Labor but I also didn't feel "right" So I got in the shower. When Jappy got home he was surprised by me being up and showered and asked what was going on? Apparantly it's not like me to be up and showered by that time on a Saturday. I told him I wasn't feeling 'right' His comment was " Oh no NOT today Today is not a good day" "well I'm sorry for inconveniencing you" I said. Now this Saturday was a little busier than usual. We had a basketball game, first thing(two in fact). Then We had a Church breakfast/christmas party that we had the main dish for. Then another basketball game and my friend was throwing me a baby shower that afternoon/evening.
I powered through the morning. I must not have looked too well because I had lots of people ask me if I was doing ok. I said I wasn't feeling my best, and then There were lots 'ohh this could be the day' comments. I wasn't ready for it to be the day, I had things still to do. I made it to the baby shower and I was finally feeling good. We ate and visited with friends and loaded the car with fun new baby girl things, and headed home. The time is now about 8:30 at night. Our kids were playing outside and I started having contractions again. Nothing consistent. A friend of ours is the Chief OB and we knew he was on call. Side Note He is NOT my doctor. He's our friend We've been to dinner together in each others homes. He Is NOT my doctor for that reason. It's weird. However with the last two babies that I have delivered he likes to come in and tease me that my doctor is out of town and he's filling in.. Oh silly man.
So by 930 contractions were about 7-10 mins apart but still not consistent. Jappy texted our Friend asking his opinion and He called him immediately. He said to drink two big glasses of water. If they get faster I'm in labor if they stop I was just dehydrated. I drank my water and We got our kids showered and asleep. I laid on the bed wondering what we should do. Go in, or wait it out? Still not feeling like I was in Labor. At 11;15 or so I told Jap to get his shoes on. We need to go in. There was no way I was going to be able to sleep. As he went to the closet I had the hardest contraction I had had all day. I told him we better hurry That Was BAD. He ran downstairs and told our girls we were headed to the hospital. As we are walking out to the car I had another strong contraction, that stopped me dead in my tracks. Jappy is now in the car and says 'Hey, get in" "I can't I told him I can't move it hurts so BAD."
Now I Have never gone into labor on my own EVER. This was NEW to us.
Jap drove fast to the Hospital, hitting what felt like every pot hole on the road/freeway. We pulled into the hospital and parked at the doors to admitting, or so we thought was admitting. The doors open up we walk through all the while I have a death grip on Jappy's arm. The door closed behind us and I had another hard contraction and MY WATER BROKE. The next door didn't open It was LOCKED. We had a slight moment of PANIC. Thinking we were trapped. In the past After my water breaks I have a baby within 30 minutes. I would have liked to have seen the security footage of us at that moment. We turned around and the door to the outside opened back up. PHEW. We headed back to the car to drive around the hospital to the ER entrance. On the way to the car Jappy stops and says " UHH your water just broke I don't want you getting in MY CAR" I was NOT amused. I did get in the Car. Walked into the ER and we didn't even have to say ANYTHING. She asked if I could walk and I said Yes. Jappy Said get the Wheelchair, they wheeled me upstairs and I got changed and I was hurting bad. We told the nurse this is going to be fast Call Dr. Jones. I'm not so sure she believed me... Until she checked me and I was an 8. I told her I WANT an epidural!! I was starting to get scared. I Really didn't want to do this with out any pain medicine!! I was already Feeling overwhelmed, like it was too much for me. Jappy assured me I could do it if I needed to. I was sure I could not. Why Was He not here yet?? Dr. Jones walked in about that time with the biggest grin on his face. All of his taunting from the last couple years... He was right he was going to have to deliver one of my babies. I may have said something smart alike and mean.. He says I'll be back when your happier and walked out the door. Next thing I heard was the anesthesiologist cart getting closer to my room. Hallelujah!!
He sat me up gave me that blessed shot I was numb before I laid back down. Jones walked I said I'm sorry things were looking pretty dark for me I'm happy now. I may have apologized to the whole room Not my greatest moment. But I did tell everyone we are all friends now. Jappy said to Jones you better get that nice sweatshirt off this is going to be quick. Sure enough baby was crowning. During my apologies they brought a mirror in and I watched the birth of our Sixth and Final Baby. One and Half pushes Later we had a beautiful 7 lb 15oz curly dark haired baby. Born on Dec 7 12:05!
The nurses just gushed over her. And were fighting over who got to bathe her and wash her beautiful locks of Hair. We are PROUD PARENTS of our little Caboose.
We are so Lucky to have such wonderful doctors that have taken Care of us here. They Have become our close friends. Each one of them we feel like we could call them in any sort of emergency and they would be there at a drop of a hat. The next day our pediatrician gave her the release to go home. He said you've done this a time or two you're fine to go home whenever the Dr Releases you. Jones came in and said the same thing. Less then 24 hrs later We were headed home!
Jappy and the kids had dinner waiting and a nice clean house to come home too. The kids had not yet seen her. We have a motley crew and felt it a better idea for them to not come to the hospital. It was a wild whirlwind of a weekend.Jeppsen'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944798451471718962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7290694240746437247.post-53147540674075358112014-12-09T22:56:00.001-08:002014-12-09T22:56:53.222-08:00Jacqueline Hope
I am 7 days away from my due date. I am about ready. My christmas shopping is close to being done, and I have two projects Im working on that are so close to being done. Baby stuff is also close to being ready. I just need new batteries in the swing and bouncer and Jappy to get the cradle out of the rafters. But none of those things are that important on my to do list so they have taken the back seat.
During the month of October we had Red Ribbon Week. One of the days was "I mustache you to say no to drugs" So the kids all wore mustaches to school. Brooklyn felt it important to sport her mustache dress. This year for Halloween We decorated our front door like Frankenstein. Our Kids LOVED him so much that we left him up two weeks after the Holiday. I think this will become a tradition every Halloween. My brother and his kids came and spent some time with us during Halloween. We had such a fun couple days with them. Johnny made himself at home and was very comfortable here. He cracked us up. He has such an adult vocabulary and very matter of fact. We just enjoyed our time with the kids and miss them so much.

For Halloween we went to our wards trunk or treat and hit a couple neighbors. Paxton was a Devil, Jet-dinosaur Jay-ninja, Brooklyn and police officer, and Mady was her inmate. I don't have a picture of Jappy and I but I dressed up as a cheerleader and Jappy was a football player. Lots laughs and funny looks.

I threw in a picture of Jappy during the tough mudder. The obstacle that he's at is the monkey bars over water. He had to climb them in an A shape (Up and down)

Also in October we sweet talked some friends into taking us to their friends house to ride horses. What a fun Night and great memories with our kids. I miss riding. It was fun to see their faces light up and how much they enjoyed it. Some day I hope to be able to give them those opportunities more often. It brought back so many great memories.

ThanksGiving was low key and uneventful. We went out to the Reservation again this year for dinner. What a great way to celebrate a Holiday. We even had friends joint us this year. I hope we have them talked into joining our tradition in the years to come.

This was a pretty random post.... But you get the idea of what we've been up to.
I'm going to do a quick update of the past year and than hopefully I will stay caught up....For a few months anyways. After the half marathon we enjoyed thanksgiving. Since it's just us we decided...We eat at home everyday lets go out. It was the BEST ThanksGiving EVER. My house stayed clean, We were relaxed and we actually got dressed up for dinner. I organized a 5K Turkey Trot for our ward for that morning. It was a good way to get out of the house and enjoy our friends and neighbors that morning.
December, January came with no big events besides Christmas and My birthday.
February Our girls got a special Valentine with a plane ticket inside to HAWAII.
March we took our girls for a weeks vacation in Hawaii. My Brother Bob and his Family are stationed there with the Army. We had the BEST time. A week was NOT long enough! We packed our days FULL of Fun. Snorkeling, Body surfing, eating at local restaurants, Tide pool exploring, hiking, the PPC, whale watching, Dole plantation, and the Biggest Highlight of the trip... Swimming with dolphins. We could have ended the trip and only done that and it still would have been the best trip ever. What a GREAT experience and to be able to share it with the girls was the cherry on top. It was So hard to leave. When we look back at our hundreds of pictures we can't help but smile at the wonderful memories we made. Jappy helped coach High School Baseball.
April We celebrated 13 years!!Jay and Brooklyn played Soccer, Mady turned 12 and had her first temple trip, Mady joined the middle school track team and took 1st in Shot -Put and 2nd in Discus in All City. and was invited to compete in a regional competition. (We are PROUD parents)! Jap's step dad passed away, Paxton(18 months) broke his leg, I had my wisdom teeth out. And OH YA.. Found out I was Pregnant with #6 (Heaven Help us ALL) April was not my favorite month. But we survived.
May Paxie got his cast off and had an EKG and passed again!! He will have a Echocardiogram next year in June. If all looks well he could be released of ALL Cardio doctors and appointments(Super Exciting). I ran a Color Run with friends, Found out that we were Having a GIRL!
Due December 13th
We celebrated the LAST DAY of SCHOOL with our friends and neighbors with our annual root beer float party.
June The kids collected eggs for a neighbor all month and loved it, Jay started Flag Football, He's a Natural like his Daddy. He had countless touchdowns, and several interceptions that he ran back for a touch down and LOTS of Flags. He was SO FUN to watch. Mady and I went to Girls Camp and had a blast. Jet started Speech, and made some GREAT progress through the Summer
July We headed to Coeur d'Alene for a week. Spending time with ALL of the Family, Lots of Time at the beach and on the boat. Jay and Brooklyn got up on water skis. And surprised my Family with the news of BABY GIRL. Brought our Nephews home with us to spend 3 weeks of FUN with them. We had a science day, went to Bear World, Picnics in the park, hiked the mountains, slept in a tent, Had outside movie night, Decorated bikes for a parade, went to the pool several times, set up the slip-n-slide. The List could go on and on. We tried to plan and do something each day they were here. We were exhausted each night.
August I sold the 15 passenger Van(yea ME), We rented a Cabin in Star Valley for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute. We golfed, Jappy played in a tournament with his momma, swam, ate, played shuffle board, and horseshoes. and just had a really fun time. Jappy took the kids to Lagoon for a day and had a BLAST. We bought a dog, Beautiful German Shepherd. And sold her 3 wks later. We loved her!! She did not love our neighbors, and I didn't feel good about the aggression she was showing towards anyone in our yard. No fault of her own She was protecting us and our yard. We miss her dearly. Some Day again we will be dog owners. It was so good for our Kids.
School started!! Mady 7th. Brooklyn 5th. Jay K. Jet Lincoln /center Preschool.
Mady Made the School Volleyball team and LOVES it. That girl has a MEAN serve. We've enjoyed her games. Jay and Brooklyn started another season of Soccer. It's been Busy with everyone practicing and games but we LOVE watching our kids, and watching them develop their talents.
September. Jappy has been working out HARD He has Lost 80lbs and still going strong. We are so PROUD of him. He competed in a Tough Mudder in Utah. If you don't know what it is google it. It was 11 miles of Running and then Crazy obstacles intertwined. We made arrangements for our kids and we spent 3 days together ALONE. It was the first time in 6 years we had been away for more than 12 hours with out any kids. It was fun to be able to watch him do his run and to be able to cheer him on. We had a Great Weekend together.
My parents got their mission call and will be serving for 12 months in the Family History Center in Salt Lake City.We are very Happy for them.
October Celebrated Paxton turning 2. He is such a Fun Sweet Boy. He talks up a storm, repeating everything we say. He's only gotten me in trouble once (which really surprises me) He is one busy little bugger. I think he is worse than Jay was. I had to buy a second baby gate to contain that boy. He will need his own post for all his extra curricular activities he's been involved in.
I'm preparing for the Elementary School Red Ribbon Week at the end of the month. And the Big guy will turn 41 in a week.
Phew... Well there you have it in a Nut shell Pictures will come at a later date I need to upload those yet. 8 weeks ago I was talked into training for a Half Marathon. CRAZY I know.Thankfully my friend Jen was just as crazy as I, and we did it together. We Worked hard, ran more than either one of us would have ever thought possible, sacrificed good food, and lots of time. But WE DID IT!!

The race was Fun. We breezed right through the first 8 miles. We were pretty entertained by the other runners. We laughed to ourselves many times. My favorite part of the run was mile 9's candy table, and mile 11's temptation table. That was the best doughnut EVER.

Jetters was all about the candy. We stopped at the Eddies and Jet helped Cam hand out Candy. Every time the door bell rang He would go to the door with Cam and would help himself to a piece of candy. He cracked us up.

Jappy turned 40 and we had a PARTY!! Two weeks leading up to his birthday The kids and I came up with the 12 days of Dad. Every day He got a little gift when he woke up. We all looked forward to him finding it.
I invited 50 people to help us celebrate his BIG Day. We went with an 80's theme and I was not disappointed with the outcome. Everyone dressed up, We listened to 80's music, played a game centered around the 80's, Laughed and just had a lot of fun.
I was really impressed with the outfits and hair that came through the door. We had a meat buffet and potato bar per the birthday boys request. It was a night of many fun memories.
I find myself still getting a little emotional when I see these pictures of my baby. You are eating more and more normal food. Meal time is very serious to you. You love your siblings but prefer your Momma. And your sleeping through the night. Aahh Bliss

First Day of School. Mady had a mild melt down before heading out the door. She was upset that Jappy decided to take them to school instead of me. (Pax was still sleeping) She started 6th grade at Alameda Middle School, and is enjoying it. Adjusting to more responsibility has been more difficult than I thought it would be. We are working on it, and being more organized. She is not a fan of P.E but is working through it. Each day it gets better. Brooklyn is in 4th Grade with Mr. D and she loves it. She is in a class full of her friends. It's going to be a GREAT year for her. Jay is going to his last year of preschool. They have a splash party the first two days of school. Hence the swim suit and towel. He looks forward to school each day. We walk to and from school each day. (It's my favorite part of my day). He goes four days a week and enjoys every minute of it. Jet and Paxie are with me. I get so caught up in my cleaning and organizing, and constant laundry I don't spend nearly enough time with them one on one. This week I'm going to set an alarm to make sure I STOP and Enjoy my little ones.
Paxie started crawling this week. We have to be so very careful of what we leave on the floor. We just love this sweet Chubby Baby. Jet got the barbies out to play with. SO FUNNY!
We had Regie (Student/Nanny) Living with us for a month til she got hitched. We enjoyed her with us, especially the perks that went along with having her here. We hosted two ladies from Costa Rica for an international choir festival that Pocatello hosted. It was a fun week with them. My kids enjoyed the comings and goings of these Ladies. Saying Hola and Chow, with a kiss. They will surely be life long friends.
We had our dear friends the Fagan's come and spend a couple days with us, while the girls were in Cd'A. Jay LOVED his Boy time with Karsten and Justin. digging for dinosaur bones, and making crazy hot dogs. They had a camp out complete with "mini olympics" and a smore's cook off. Oh we miss them, but cherish our time when we are together

We spent a week in July up north with family. And then we had some special company for the month of August. Cousins came from Texas to spend time with us. We did LOTS. Lunch in the park, Walked dogs, Played with neighbors, went to Lava, went on a snake hunt, Made flubber, Jay taught Jaiden to ride a two wheeler, bike rides,Went to the Library, went to the park, played in the rain, gathered worms, tie dyed shirts, had a camp out, and lots of "playing" with our food experiments, and playing games Oh goodness, we tried to do it all. we still didn't get to some things on our list. We slept well each night. We were so happy that they came. It was sad to see them go. We made lots of GOOD MEMORIES!
Jay Had a Birthday!! The Big 5
I spent a week at Girls Camp. And drove the Girls up in our 15 passenger Van. It was pretty Fun to have everyone in one car. singing at the top of our lungs and waving to everyone we passed. Jappy handled all seven kids. And the house was clean when I got home. But he was relieved when I pulled in.
We bought a new car in July and have already put 3000 miles on it. We LOVE it!! It's our 4th car we have bought in a year. I should get my dealers license. We have been on the go constantly, and the month of September is showing to be just as busy as August, with less kids. We just finished an Alzheimer's walk in Ogden, and in two weeks we do the 5K in Logan for Juvenile Diabetes. I did a 5K with a bunch of Friends called the Color Vibe. We had the BEST TIME. Every half a mile or so was a color station where we were doused in Color. If one ever comes to your Town Sign up you will not regret it.
Jay just started soccer. We are hoping he starts getting in the groove. He is unsure and timid still which is SO not like him. He's confused with us telling him to take the ball from the other team.
My oldest Brother got married to a lovely girl. We couldn't be happier for them. The wedding was beautiful. We went back to Coeur d 'Alene for the reception. I played bar tender at the Italian Cream Soda Bar. I LOVED mixing drinks. I got a chance to talk with everyone. My kids spent most of their night at the S mores Bar. They consumed more than their share of CHOCOLATE.
We had a fun Summer with lots of Great memories. We haven't felt like school is in session yet. It seems like we are still in the Fun summer mode.... Is that a Bad thing?
Finding time to blog has been impossible. We are all still alive.... Just busy. Everyday is something. Piano, gymnastics, activity days, volleyball, friends, meetings. And all the normal things like cooking, clean up and laundry. Sometimes I wish time would go by faster and my kids would grow up and that maybe I would have less to do. But other times (far and few between) I wish time would stand still.
Pax is 6 months and is the size of a 1 year old. He always sleeps with at least one arm up. Isn't that so sweet? He's finally rolling over and will sit up with little support. He is in the 97 % for his height and weight. And is just the happiest baby ever. He had a well baby check up. The Dr. listened to his heart quickly and moved on to something else. I asked him to humor me and listen again. He didn't hear the murmur at all and wouldn't give it a second thought if he didn't know to listen. We meet with the cardiologist in a month for his next echo. But we feel so Blessed how this little imperfection is turning out.
I Even Got everyone to pause for a picture after church
Last week Jappy and I left our kids with the exception of Pax and flew to Arizona for four days. We haven't left our kids in 5 years. It was good for everyone. We left the kids in very capable hands, and they had a blast!! Jappy drove race cars, I laid by the pool and enjoyed warm 85 degree weather. We shopped ate lots of gourmet food, had a formal night. And best of all I didn't do any laundry. Jappy works hard to provide for our family. And the bank recognized him for it. Jappy is in the top 10% for production in the country for USBank. They paid for our entire trip along with lots gifts throughout our four days there. Not to mention our luxuriouss stay at the Phoenician. It's hard to come back to reality after being pampered. But it just makes Dad work just has hard so we can go again next year. I'm struggling to find time to update The boys are all napping so I thought I better do it before one wakes up. While praying before dinner last night Jay says " Bless Pax that he will be big like my daddy" That kid says some pretty cute things lately that make us smile.Since Jappy is constantly at Church meetings Jay thinks he needs to have meetings too. He'll put on his church clothes so him and his dad can have a meeting. He likes to say " And now we will turn the time over to Daddy Jeppsen He'll do it at random times. Just makes us laugh. Paxton has been smiling and cooing and making all sorts of cute baby noise. He prefers to lay down to sleep but insists on one arm above his head. He surely is growing. He is in 9 month clothes, some 6 month I can put him in. As long as they don't have feet in them. He is a long baby. Random people have stopped me and said "Looks like you might have a line backer" I tell them " that's what his dad is hoping for" It won't be long before he passes Jet in weight.

Sonic Is all the rage at our house lately. U can't beat half price slushies and limeades and late night half price milkshakes. We've been driving through car lots at night, as to find a car and dodge the salesmen. So the other night we took the kids car lot hopping, and stopped at Sonic on the way home. The three big kids slurped away on their drinks and all three instantly grabbed their heads and yelled "Brain Freeze" Hilarious. It happened more than once that night. Goof Balls.
Jeppsen'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944798451471718962noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7290694240746437247.post-5016736785576582052013-01-09T14:11:00.000-08:002013-01-09T14:11:18.037-08:00Guilt is a funny thing. After the shooting in Sandy hook I heard a lot of parents talk about survivors guilt. Parents who were relieved that their child was spared but saddened by those who were not. Yesterday I felt this same way. A friend of ours 2 month old baby passed away due to complications of SIDS over the weekend. I have survivors guilt. Every time I hold our baby, or he smiles at me, or even when I just walk by him while he's laying on the couch. I feel guilt. Guilt that our friend won't be able to hold her baby, or hear his first laugh, or experience the million other milestones that come from raising him. Our Girls fasted this past Sunday for the very first time. They fasted for their friends. That they would be comforted. I was amazed at the faith that they had, They did not complain once of their hunger, but were so focused on the Savior easing this families heartache.
Jappy and I have talked about how quickly our lives could change. That this unspeakable heartache just as easily could have been ours. We have mourned with those that mourn. We have prayed for Peace and comfort Be with this family in their time of Need, and Loss. And we have held and kissed our baby a million times. For we don't know when our mission on earth is done. The ward Christmas Party. The girls were too fast and I missed them on Santa's lap. Jay is all about telling Santa what he wants. His List got longer as the month of December went on. Jet wouldn't have anything to do with the jolly bearded man.

Christmas Eve in their new pajamas. We were lucky enough to have the missionaries spend Christmas evening with us. We had dinner, had a ping pong tournament, a nerf gun war, and a couple hands of Skip-bo. It was a fun night with the Elders.
We made it through December!!! It never fails that things start to fall apart through the winter season. We had the Durango break down (its gone for good, sad) , the water heater go out, and a broken tailbone. We will not miss the month of mis fortune.
Jay and Jet are obsessed with the ipad. They are sitting behind the couch together.

I took Paxton's pictures a couple weeks ago. He is one cute Chunky little guy. He is in the 75% for his length and weight. we met with the Cardiologist again earlier this month. His Heart continues to mend itself. The murmur is still there but is getting smaller. He will have another echo cardiogram in 3 months. The doctor is very pleased with his growth this past month. He is very confident in Paxton having a full active normal life.

We are enjoying Christmas Break, and are happy to have snow. The kids have been outside everyday for hours at a time. Jeppsen'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944798451471718962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7290694240746437247.post-9948301297471486652012-11-13T13:07:00.000-08:002012-11-29T13:08:50.467-08:00We met with the cardiologist today to have another echo. The murmur is getting better and Pax has been released from his oxygen. We couldn't be happier. The murmur although still there is only mild we will return for another echo in 4 weeks to track its progress. We will be keeping a close eye on him to ensure that his heart is working properly. But for now all is well. He is a 'TANK' weighing in at 12 pounds. We feel he skipped the newborn phase. He is into 3-6 month clothes and some 6-9. He's grown so fast he's skipped sizes. He still sleeps well and is a good eater. What more could we ask for. The kids love him and have adjusted well to him. Jet feels left out and follows me room to room, and gets upset when anyone puts on their shoes. Hopefully he'll settle in soon. Jay LOVES Preschool and so does MOM. It's been good for all of us to have him at school 2 days a week. It's just down the street so we walk him to school. He has such great teachers who plan fun activities and crafts for them, all while learning It's so GREAT.
Mady just graduated from the DARE Program. She enjoyed the program and learned a lot. At times I didn't think it was necessary and felt that shielding her from such things was a better way. I hate that she's growing up and that some day I won't be there to tell her what's good and what 's bad, and what friends she should play with. Letting go is so hard...
Brooklyn...Loves school and is in a class with lots of her friends. She's miss Bossy around our house. The poor boys have so many moms under one roof telling them what to do.
We've been homebound for the last 2 months it doesn't seem like it should be Christmas time. The months have flown by and I'm feeling behind in all categories. Someday I'll catch up. Brooklyn is Dorothy Mady is an 80's Rocker. Jay is a Knight. Jet is a Lion. The kids came home with LOADS of Candy as usual. It felt so good to get out of the house. and to get fresh air, and see friends. We have been so Blessed with good friends. We have tried hard to keep Paxton out of public places to protect him. But that comes with Lack of Socializing for us. Its a small price to pay for a Healthy Baby.

He was a scheduled induction. I was told to call the hospital at 5 am. So I did, only to be denied due to lack of beds. They took my number and told me they would call me when a bed opened up. I wasn't going to leave it to chance of them forgetting about me so I called again at 7 and again at 10. By 10 o'clock I was frustrated and let the nurse know I was not going to go one more night being pregnant. She assured me that I would have the baby today and that she promised she would call. I felt slightly better. Little did I know my Dr. was also calling the hospital to get me a bed open. The last month and a half of this pregnancy had been difficult. My body was retaining so much water I was swollen constantly and the water retention was causing carpal tunnel in my hands. I couldn't sleep at night because of the tingly\numbness.(the feeling still hasn't returned to my fingers) It was very uncomfortable. My phone rang at 11:30 saying they were ready for me so left the boys with Nana Jacque and headed out . They broke my water and we were well on our way. I had wonderful nurses. I love Labor and Delivery. We had a good time together. Jappy as usual kept us all entertained. Dr. Jones stopped by and added to the party and to just harass me. There was a Resident that was working that day that I didn't care for. I was dialated to a 4 and he told me i would still be laboring for another 4 hours at least. I told him that wouldn\t be the case, and that I go fast. He said "We'll see" Well 30 mins later I showed Mr. Know It All that he was wrong. Paxton Ace was born at 2:30 Jappy stopped everyone just as I was ready to push and told them he needed a BIG BOY 8.10 He said. The nurses all agreed he was a mean husband. He changed his tune when we struggled with getting his shoulders through. Pax entered the world with out a cry. He just looked around. It made his parents very nervous. They assured us all was well. He had a listen to his heart and right away heard a very prominent murmur. He ordered him an ultrasound and EKG to confirm what he heard. Everyone was so calm about it we weren't worried. The ultrasound showed that his tricuspid valve was not closing properly causing a regurgitation of the blood from one chamber of his heart to the other. causing the murmur and an enlargement of his heart. The pediatrician on call made a phone call to a Peds Cardiologist in Salt Lake to get a quick consult. He ordered Pax to Be on oxygen and made us an appointment to meet with him. He comes to Pocatello every 5 weeks to see heart patients. We were lucky enough to have him coming into town in the next week. The reason for the oxygen is to keep the pressure off his heart and keep it from over working itself. We met with the cardiologist and he put a lot of our fears at ease. He's confident that his heart will heal itself with time, and he will have a normal healthy life. He wants Pax to stay on the oxygen for the next 5 weeks. We will have another ultrasound and EKG at that time to check it's progress. We feel lucky we were able to bring him home. I don't care for the extra piece of luggage we pack around the house with him, but its a small price to pay. I was lucky enough to have lots of help this time around. Jappy took two weeks off to help and my mom and aunt came for a few days. Not to mention all our friends taking our kids for a couple hours to help us out. We felt very loved.</my>

I'm working on talking Jappy into a new one. I know I won't have to talk too much. It's finding the time to price them and do our homework.
The summer has been GREAT!! My house is finally becoming a house of order again. I don't know why I can't keep it together during the school year for Heavens Sakes. But I have defiantly taken advantage of having my two best helpers home.
The kids finished swimming lessons and I'm debating on enrolling them in another round. It was so good for them, they learned a lot and had fun doing it. We have spent a lot of the time at the pool already this summer. My kids have tan lines to prove it. We bought a family swim pass in hopes to give Jay something to do and tire him out. He's still our busy wild boy. Jet follows him everywhere. And tolerates his roughness.
We found out that we are having another BOY. I'm SLoWLY warming up to that idea but secretly hoping there was a mistake. We all cried a little that day. But the most important part is the baby is healthy!! And October 6th is the due date. I've been feeling great and often don't realize I'm even pregnant.
The girls have been sleeping in, playing outside late with friends/ neighbors. They walk the neighbors dogs daily and usually get their chores done quick, so they have the rest of the day to play. It's been nice having them home.
Jappy is working hard... He is the #2 producer in this region with loan growth. And the #1 has been doing it for 25 years and also works in his same building. He loves going to work. Although I'm not sure how much work he really does... He golfs weekly, went for a motorcycle ride with a client, and eats out WAY to much. He's always coming home and telling us of some kind of fun adventure he had. I guess I would love going to work too.
When we get pics loaded to a new computer I will have a TON of posts to catch up on. We have had plenty of things to post about. Trips, mini vacations, new nieces, a trip to the zoo and plenty of pool pictures.Jeppsen'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944798451471718962noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7290694240746437247.post-68361337883395869012012-04-12T12:20:00.003-07:002012-04-12T12:26:32.550-07:00Good FortuneWe made fortune cookies with a special Fortune inside.

Incase you can't read it the Fortune says

"Oh my this makes 5"
Lucky# 10, 6, 12
Jeppsen'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944798451471718962noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7290694240746437247.post-11479031133415071382012-02-18T19:27:00.000-08:002012-02-18T20:29:32.001-08:00

Jet enjoying his dinner

Japs Valentines to the Kids.

Jay spilled his smoothie. I told him to clean it up.

We made it through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Birthdays after Birthdays, and we are looking forward to the Month of March. We have a Baptism planned and a Family Trip to Disney Land.

I'm struggling keeping things updated and hopefully someday I will fill in all the cracks. But for now I am just going to start with January.

I Had a Birthday and we celebrated in Logan. Our niece and her husband were so Kind and watched our kids while we went out. We did our thing than went back to the house and dropped Jappy off and picked up Jessi and we did what we do best SHOPPING. Then we went back for some Delicious cupcakes from 'Temptations' Our FAVORITE Cupcake place HOLY COW THEY ARE DIVINE!!! Jay hasn't let me forget that I left him behind while I went out with Jessi. Just this week he was telling me how sad he was that I didn't take him.

Jay is FULL of Spunk and lately a lot of attitude. He has an opinion about everything and its never a peaceful Happy one. We are ready for the Terrible Three Phase to be over. But I do Love Night Time when he is angelically sleeping.

Jet is the sweetest baby ever. Oh he is sweet. We just LOVE him. He's not saying anything but hes getting around the house well, and has discovered the Joys of the Toilet. He prefers to feed himself, Loves when Daddy comes home, and Loves his bed.

Mady Loving school and her Teachers and doing well, and has lots of good friends.

Brooklyn had a Birthday and for her present she got enrolled in a dance class at the rec center. She looks forward to it every week and LOVES it.

Jappy is working hard and has working really hard on leading a healthier lifestyle. It has not been easy but he sure is doing a GREAT JOB. I am VERY PROUD of Him.

This last month I have been working on a stake committee for women's conference. Some how I got put in charge of feeding 300 women. How does this Happen to Me? This week I will be doing the grocery shopping and part of the cooking and preparing. Thank goodness for the 5 other ladies on my committee. Some days I wonder when I'm going to get to do the things I want to do and a little less of the things I have to do. I might go on cleaning strike, or cooking strike? Not for good.... Maybe just a day or two. What would that end result be? And would it be worth it? We'll see.

Jeppsen'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944798451471718962noreply@blogger.com0
