B's First Day of Pre School

Brooklyn had her first day of Pre- school and loved every minute of it. I'm not sure if she even told me good bye she was so excited. Mrs. Joni is her teacher and teaches out of her home. There are only 10 kids in her class, 7 of them are boys. She only goes twice a week for 2 hours a day but she wishes she could go every day. I hope she never looses her excitment about school.

First Day of School, Visit from Nana and Papa

Nana came for a visit We had a fun week with her. The girls enjoyed having someone to play with. And I enjoyed having someone cook and clean do the laundry, and take care of the kids. They went to the park, out to lunch, jumped on the trampoline, had tea parties, played games, and Nana sewed the girls costumes for Halloween, and did some mending of pants. She was a busy Nana!

Pinkies up

Papa came on Friday and the girls were excited to see him. He made them a ladder for the trampoline and read them books and played games.

We had a good time the with them and it was sad to see them leave. The girls have asked everyday since they've been gone when they will get to see them again. After mom and dad pulled out of the drive way to head home Brooklyn cried, and cried she didn't want them to leave. We really do miss them, and wish we could see them more often.

Mady's First Day of School !

We have made it through our first few weeks of First grade. It has been a lil bit of a challenge getting up early and her ready by 8:20 in the morning but we're getting it figured out. I did however, fail to pick Mady up on the first day of school. I felt like a terrible mother. Apparently I didin't get the memo that it was only a half day. I got a phone call from Mady saying "mom where are you?" Talk about a poor parenting moment. But she wasn't traumatized no big deal. I think I wasn't more upset by it then her.

Mady loves her teacher and is doing well in class. Her teacher is actually a member and is in our ward. It's crazy to think that she's old enough to be in first grade and be there all day. Brooklyn is enjoying her days with mom, but usually by lunch time is asking when Mady gets home. Brooklyn starts preschool on Tuesday and we're excited about that. We met her teacher yesterday and we think she is going to be perfect for Brooklyn.
( I love him in BLUE )
Jay is almost a month old. Holy Cow time is flying by. I'll post pictures of his blessing in a few days. He is changing everyday. He thinks he wants to suck his thumb. This does not go over well with me. I will NOT have a thumb sucker. Nana and Jappy think it's so cute, and it is but like I've been telling them it won't be cute when he's headed to school with his thumb in his mouth. His hair is lightening up. I guess he won't keep his dark hair. I'll just have to enjoy it while it lasts. He's not loosing it, it's just turning blonde.
He is a very good baby For the most part he sleeps well at night sleeping 4-5 hours at a time, and eating every 2 1/2 - 3 hours during the day. The girls enjoy him still, and are very helpfull. I'm still trying to get things figured out as far as how to get things done while taking care of a newborn. I have forgotten how much work they are, (and how many times I have to change their clothes). I've been spoiled with two older independent girls. All in all thinkgs are going well, and we are all stil adjusting, but it has all been worth it!

Jay's Debut

Oh how we love our lil man!!!
WE are so happy to have him.

For those who want details:
We called at 5:00am for a bed and they we're full. They said that they will call us when they have an opening. 7:45 the phone rang, they we're ready for us. The nurse started a slow drip of pitocin and I was on my way. My Dr. came in at 10:00 broke my water and ordered my epidural. I told the hospital staff that I wanted to have the baby no later than 2:00pm (it was my cut off time) I was dilated to a three at this point. That amazing anesthesiologist was in and I was starting to feel it's effects by 11:00. I literally felt very few contractions. Thing seemed to slow down and we we're frustrated. The nurse checked my progress at 1:00 and I was only dilated to a 4. We thought for sure we weren't going to make our time. The nurse left and we watched T.V. the baby's heart rate kept dropping and sounding the alarm. This made us nervous. The second time it happened Jappy voiced his concern to the nurse. She told him that she wanted to see how things we're progressing. She said when the heart rate drops it means the baby is about ready. 1:10 I was at a 6 and she called the Dr. and told her to head our way that we we're close. 1:30 He was ready and still no Dr. 1:45 the nurse called the Dr. from my room and asked her where she was. She was just outside the door. She barely had time to get dressed. cause he was born 6 min. later @ 1:51 p.m. I made my 2:00 cutoff time! It only took three quick pushes, and he was here.
We had a resident helping with the delivery. At one point we did hear our Dr. say to him "Don't drop him" That didn't make Jappy very happy cause he saw the resident almost drop him. But to his defense Jay was very slimy. (My girls weren't that slimy)
He is a healthy 7lbs 6 oz and 20 3/4 in. Seriously the easiest labor ever. I kept telling our Dr. I really don't feel like I just had a baby. I still feel really good.
Jay is a good baby. I don't know if him being a boy, or if feeling that he is our last baby makes everything a lil sweeter. I don't even mind getting up in the middle of the night with him. (Last night he was awake from 3-6am) He is so cuddly and just dang cute. We fight over who's turn it is to hold him. My mom comes Thursday and we'll have to contend with her when she gets here.

Thursday night we were looking at his hands and behold he is the 4th generation with crooked pinkies. He's the one and only. You have to look close but they are crooked.
Finally one of our children has a trait of mine.

He's not lacking in the hair dept.

We have said all along we love our ward and our friends here. Thank you everyone for the phone calls, dinner's, gifts, and play dates with our girls. We feel so Blessed!!

Flinstones, and I Love Lucy

What do the Flinstones, I love Lucy and the Jeppsen's all have in common??
Separate BEDS.
With being large and uncomfortable we find it easier for Jappy to sleep elsewhere. We bring a mattress up from the spare bedroom and put it on the floor in our room and he sleeps there, while I'm in our bed. Weird I know but it has helped him sleep when I'm getting up (every 2 hours for the bathroom) and it helps me sleeps when he's tossing, and turning, and snoring. He's also picked up a habit of stealing my pillow in the middle of the night, right out from under my head. This I do NOT appreciate.
After the baby we'll take the mattress back down stairs, and hopefully we can share again.
Tuesday is still the BIG day. We LOVE our Dr. She is Fabulous!! She wants to do anything she can to put us at ease and make things comfortable and to get this baby out ASAP. I Love it!!
The girls are going to have a sleep over at a friends Monday night and spend Tuesday playing. We have had lots of offers for them to stay places, We're so grateful for the great families here.
We are ready for our lil man and are anxious to see him face to face.
Jappy will be the one posting while I'm in the hospital so we'll see how he does. I'll have to give him one more crash course on posting. Enjoy your weekend.
